I have absolutely zero evidence that Victor isn’t injured, but I don’t think he’s injured.

My intuition is Gregg Popovich found another rest game for him. Just like he did for the December 1st Pelicans game when Victor had “hip tightness.”

The 19 year old already averages just 30.5 mpg, but on top of that, the most overrated coach in the league invents ways to not play him — this is Victor’s 2nd missed game 26 games into his rookie campaign. And this time it cost us a rare matchup with Giannis.

Quick Thoughts

I completely lost interest in the game as soon as they said Victor wasn’t playing. The Spurs are completely unwatchable without Victor.

Devin Vassell is a legitimate future all-star but he’s not enough to get me to watch.

One thought I did wonder while I did anything else but watch the first quarter was why the Spurs didn’t go after Austin Reeves in free agency.

Bill Simmons brought it up again today on his podcast with Ryen Russillo and it’s a great point: why not try for Austin and at least make the Lakers commit more money to him?
